Village water users get a second date to watch. The newest official word is still Friday's update: the 30-inch main at the Lower Baxter Well location is repaired and disinfected, sample results and Health Department approval are pending, and the conservation ask holds for Village of Pawling and Town of Pawling Water District #1 customers until then. The village says the water remains safe.

The village says yes, and has since the main was repaired. What is pending is administrative: lab sample results and Health Department approval to return the second supply to service. Conservation stays on until that approval lands, which the village expected within days as of Friday.
